Neola Alston Is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is the mother of four children: Emani, Malik, Destiny, and Charity Alston.

Neola holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Corrections from Troy University and is three courses shy of completing her Master’s Degree in Business and Security Management through Webster University.

This motivated leader is a Retired United States Army Military Police Captain (CPT) with over 25+ years of law-enforcement experience in federal,state, city and county supervisory roles. Her variety of assignments include: Two successful Army Commands (Company Commander and CID Detachment Commander), Assistant Provost Marshal, Regional Confinement Facility Guard Commander, Battle Captain in theater (war in Iraq), Operations Officer, Captain of security, and one of her most rewarding positions was as Platoon Leader at “The Old Guard” in the Washington, D.C. area working directly with Joint Military Forces along with The F.B.I.and Secret Services directly providing security for the President of the United States (POTUS).

This military Officer has resided in Richland for the past two years. Since arriving here, she has been heavily involved within the community with various fellowships and outreaches through her local church, Total Restoration, where she serves as the Senior pastor.

As a natural team builder with a variety of skills, determination, and matchless passion and compassion for others she strives daily to promote a better quality of life for all people.

CPT Alston intends to create positive change within the Richland Community as well as bridge the gap between surrounding communities. Her goal is to promote unity within the community while pushing the idea that “Richland shall be Rich Again”.

As she Initiates team efforts to improve on economic infrastructure including the creation of more jobs, community policing and public safety, maintaining and improving public education, and preserving the City’s history while instilling a sense of pride throughout the land, she hopes for a brighter future for the generations to come.
